Final Assignment -- Case Study

Use your imagination!

As a newly-graduated student holding a Master of Arts in Religion degree, you are a bit surprised to learn that you are academically qualified to teach college-level classes. And the academic officer of a small Christian university has approached you and asked you to consider teaching a class. She gives you an application to complete and one of the questions is, "What is your philosophy of education?"

Use what you have learned in this class to craft an answer to this common academic question. Interact with the eight questions that I presented in Assignment #2 as well as what you have read otherwise. You can find additional practical information about writing a "philosophy of education" (also called "philosophy of teaching") here and by searching online for "how to write a philosophy of education."

Since you are writing this for a Christian school you'll want to make sure that you clearly explain what is "Christian" about your approach to teaching and learning.

Your answer to this question can be as short or long as you think appropriate.

This assignment is due Saturday, May 4, 2019.
